Roger Pask
CLP Treasurer
Roger is a former teacher, and head of large urban secondary schools for 25 years. His second career since retiring 26 years ago was in leadership development in international and national contexts. He founded Sanctuary in Chichester in 2015 to welcome and support refugees, with a personal specialism in advocacy. He led the founding of the Afghan Relief Trust in early 2022 in response to prompts from Afghan refugees in West Sussex. He is a father and grandfather and passionate lover of the arts.
His 57 years in public service has helped him refine his core values to: relentless search for truth; passionate pursuit of justice (fairness); integrity; respect for all other human beings as of right; self-determination; compassion; solidarity and kindness. We should “do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. Public service is in his blood. “Labour is our country’s best hope for real social justice”.
